The weather will be controlled by a light wind pattern with daytime sea breezes and nighttime land breezes taking hold. This pattern is expected through Saturday. Trades should begin filling back in on Sunday with a return to trade wind weather and strengthen to moderate and locally breezy levels through much of next week. A period of wet trades with more frequent showers is possible during the middle part of next week, as remnants of a front push through the islands.
Today & Sunday
We have variable winds today from 5 to 15 mph with sea breezes in the afternoon. High temperatures are forecast from 83° to 88°. Mostly sunny skies in the morning with clouds building and some afternoon showers mainly for leeward and mauka areas. On Sunday, northeast winds around 15 mph will fill back in and shower coverage will shift to mornings for windward and mauka spots.
