FBI Investigation: Australian National, Living in Wailea Arrested
The FBI Maui Office has launched a criminal investigation into a man after information was received of a suspect allegedly involved in financial and identity crimes.
Detectives with the Maui Police Department executed a warrant of a residence in Wailea on Monday, May 22, 2017, and arrested Adam Nettlefold, 33, an Australian national who was living on Maui.
Police say Nettlefold also goes by the aliases Christian Lawson and William Atlan.
Nettlefold was arrested for the alleged offenses of Credit Card Theft, 2nd Degree Forgery and Unauthorized Possession of Confidential Personal Information. His bail was set at $250,000.
Additional search warrants were executed in the days following his arrest as the Detectives and Special Agents with the FBI Maui Office continued to investigate. Maui police say more criminal charges are likely to follow.
