Special Weather Statement: Coastal flooding is likely through Memorial Day along all shores of the Hawaiian Islands due to record level spring (king) tides. Impacts include beach flooding, standing water on roadways and low-lying areas near the coast. A large summer south swell is fading but will exacerbate the problem leading to additional beach run up, flooding and erosion. The flooding is likely to be worst during the evening high tide.

Maui Surf Forecast
North: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest high today with the best breaks getting up to shoulder high on the sets.
West: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest/ shoulder high today with the good spots getting up to head high on the sets.
South: Surf heights are expected to be waist/chest/ shoulder high today with the good spots getting up to head high on the sets.
Our current south-southwest swell is slowly easing through the middle of the week.
A new pulse of northeast swell is filtering in and peaking Monday. A fun northwest is forecast for the middle of next week.
Keep in mind, surf heights are measured on the face of the wave from trough to crest. Heights vary from beach to beach, and at the same beach, from break to break.
