45 Hawaiian Homestead Lots Offered at Waiohuli, Maui

The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands will award vacant lots in the homestead community of Kēōkea-Waiohuli on the Island of Maui this weekend.

DHHL will be offering 45 homestead lots to native Hawaiian beneficiaries in the homestead community with a lot selection ceremony planned for beneficiaries in Phase 1-A of the subdivision.

Lot selection begins at 9:30 a.m. this Saturday, June 17, 2017 during a ceremony at the Pukalani Elementary School Cafeteria.

Among those on hand for the event will be: DHHL beneficiaries; Jobie M.K. Masagatani, Director, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands; William Aila, Jr., Deputy Director, Department of Hawaiian Home Lands; State Representative Kyle T. Yamashita, District 12 (Sprecklesville, Pukalani, Makawao, Olinda, Pūlehu, Kula, Waiohuli, Kēōkea, ʻUlupalakua, Keoneʻōʻio, Kahului); Mayor Alan M. Arakawa; Trustee Colette Machado, Chairperson, Office of Hawaiian Affairs; and Doreen Napua “Pua” Canto, Hawaiian Homes Commissioner, Island of Maui.
