Sen. Schatz Congressional Update: Trump, N. Korea, Federal Funding

US Senator Brian Schatz (D-Hawai‘i) sat down for a one-on-one interview at Maui Now to discuss congressional updates during a visit to Maui on Tuesday.  Prior to the interview, Sen. Schatz held a town hall meeting at the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center in Kahului that drew an estimated 100 people.  Sen. Schatz shared with us concerns and key issues raised by Maui constituents.  He also discussed the events in Charlottesville, the North Korea threat and federal funding for Hawai‘i.  We sat down for a deeper insight with the senator, who last week tweeted the words “This is not my president.”
