“Hawai‘i continues to experience the least amount of gas price disruption in the U.S. related to Hurricanes Harvey and Irma,” said AAA Hawaii General Manager Liane Sumida. “Tanker ships arrived at reopened Port Everglades this week and began bringing gasoline back to empty gas pumps throughout South Florida. Tanker ships can carry up to eight million gallons of fuel—enough to fill up 533,000 passenger vehicles, according to news reports. Our thoughts continue to be with all those who were impacted in the Southeast and Gulf states.”
