The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) is accepting resumes for the Business Advocate position at the Kuha‘o Business Center on Moloka‘i.

The position is appointed by the mayor and is not a civil service position.

The vacancy arose following the resignation of OED Moloka‘i Business Advocate Jennifer Hawkins, who recently accepted a new position with the University of Hawai‘i College of Tropical Agriculture and Human Resources (CTAHR).

Her new position will also be located on Moloka‘i.

“We are so very sad to be losing Jennifer Hawkins,” said Teena Rasmussen, OED director. “Jennifer has been instrumental in fostering the development of entrepreneurs on Molokai, producing the first-ever Moloka‘i Business Conference. She also brought together many partners to turn the conference into a “must-attend” event for all businesses on Maui. Jennifer has done a stellar job for our administration and we will miss her. Our loss is the University of Hawai‘i’s gain.”

A job description can be viewed online at www.mauicounty.gov/kbcjobdescription.
