Maui Teams Compete at Girls Soccer State Championships

HHSAA 2018 State Soccer Championships.

The Queen’s Medical Center/HHSAA Girls Soccer State Championships continue tonight and Saturday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oʻahu.

Maui teams competing from the MIL include: Division I teams: King Kekaulike Na Ali‘i (7‐1‐2, 0‐0 HHSAA); and Kamehameha‐Maui Warriors (7‐2‐2, 1‐0 HHSAA); and from Division II: Seabury Spartans (2‐7‐1).

Both DI Maui teams lost their quarterfinal games on Thursday with #4 King Kekaulike falling to Kaiser 4-1; and #2 Mililani defeating Kamehameha School Maui 6-1. Both are scheduled to play at 3 p.m. today in fifth-place semifinal action. Kamehameha Maui takes on Hilo and King Kekaulike faces Kamehameha Schools Kapalama.  The winners of both games face each other at 3 p.m. on Saturday for the firth place match.

In the DII consolation semifinal, Seabury defeated Le Jardin 7-0.  Seabury advances to the consolation final against Radford at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
