UH Mānoa Ranked in Top 1.7% Worldwide
The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa is now ranked within the top 1.7% of universities worldwide according to the latest academic ranking of global universities.
The Center for World University Rankings ranks UH Mānoa at 306 out of 18,000 universities worldwide and 105 nationally. The university earned a 100 ranking for quality of faculty, 245 for influence and 574 for research output.
UH Interim Chancellor David Lassner credited faculty for their research and scholarship, as well as the impact of alumni.
“We’re all really gratified at this wonderful ranking. Placing in the top 1.7% of universities worldwide is an amazing accomplishment,” said Lassner. “Credit is due to our great faculty—recognizing their research, scholarship, the grants they bring in and the citations of their work. This also recognizes the impact and effectiveness of our alumni, as they share the benefits of their great UH Mānoa education with their families, their communities and, indeed, the world.”
