Swell Summary
Outlook through Tuesday July 10: The current S swell will gradually decrease tonight into Wednesday. The next S swell is expected to begin filling in on Thursday and peak on Friday. With peak swell heights near 3 feet, surf along S facing shores is expected to approach but remain below advisory levels. Strengthening trade winds will cause a gradual increase in short period choppy surf along east facing shores. This combined with a longer period east swell from distant Tropical Cyclone Fabio in the Eastern Pacific may cause surf to reach High Surf Advisory levels on east facing shores later this week and into the weekend.
Surf heights are forecast heights of the face, or front, of waves. The surf forecast is based on the significant wave height, the average height of the one third largest waves, at the locations of the largest breakers. Some waves may be more than twice as high as the significant wave height. Expect to encounter rip currents in or near any surf zone.

Surf: Knee to thigh high NE short period wind swell with occasional waist high sets.
Conditions: Sideshore/choppy with E winds 15-20mph in the morning increasing to 20-25mph in the afternoon.
South

Surf: Knee to waist high SSW ground swell.
Conditions: Semi glassy/semi bumpy in the morning with NW winds less than 5mph. Glassy conditions for the afternoon with the winds shifting to the W.
West

Surf: Ankle to knee high SSW ground swell.
Conditions: Clean with E winds 15-20mph.
