Staff Shortage Affects Ha‘ikū Trash Pickups

Due to a staff shortage, a refuse route in the Haʻikū area today is being rescheduled to Saturday, Aug. 4, 2018.

Affected areas include:

  • Hāna Highway (between Maliko Gulch and Kailua);
  • East and West Lelehuna Place;
  • Honopou Road;
  • Waipio Road;
  • Huelo area; and
  • all surrounding streets and roads.

Department officials apologized for the inconvenience and extended their thanks to the community for their understanding and cooperation.
