Weeks after the wildfires on the West side that took many homes in our community, there is still a need to come together to support local families affected by this tragedy. It will take time to rebuild, and Down The Hatch in Lāhainā is taking action to help.

The restaurant and bar is hosting “Beyond The Blaze: a Raffle & ROCK, PAPER, SCISSORS Tournament” on Saturday, Sept. 15. The event will start at 8:30 p.m., with 100% of the raffle proceeds going to the cause. Down The Hatch leaders reached out to a few families affected by the fires on August 24, to find out what they needed and how the business could help.

As Gary O’Neil from Down The Hatch explains:  “Even when we are low, we come together as a community and lift each other’s spirits, so in true DTH fashion, we’ll be hosting a Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament for your enjoyment & entertainment. FREE to enter & all can play starting at 10 p.m. We hope to see y’all Down The Hatch for the Beyond The Blaze fundraiser.”
