Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort has been recognized with the 2018 Po’okela Outstanding Property Award. The annual honor from the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association (MHLA) is bestowed upon a local property that embodies the “Aloha Spirit.” This award recognizes Maui’s commitment to gracious hospitality, inviting travelers to experience its rich history, taste traditional culinary offerings, and immerse themselves in culture unlike anywhere else in the world.

“We’re very pleased to be recognized as this year’s ‘Outstanding Property’ by the Maui Hotel & Lodging Association, and we look forward to continuing to deliver the highest levels of hospitality that got us where we are today,” said Michael Jokovich, Area Vice President and General Manager of Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort. “More than anything, this award is a tribute to our hard-working resort team that everyday goes out of its way to ensure wonderful and memorable experiences for travelers from around the world.”

MHLA’s Po’okela Outstanding Property Award is based on an overall ranking of hospitality including aesthetics, cleanliness, friendliness, courteousness, knowledge of staff, and more. Andaz Maui received the award at MHLA’s Annual Membership Meeting luncheon held at the property.

The Po’okela Outstanding Property Award is not the first to acknowledge the remarkable hospitality of Andaz Maui. The resort, which celebrated its 5th anniversary in style over Labor Day Weekend, was honored as the Best Beach Resort in AFAR’s 2018 Travelers’ Choice Awards, and the 2018 ‘Aipono Award – Excellence in Sustainability.
