Annual Ridge to Reef Rendezvous Set for Oct. 27

The 9th Annual Ridge to Reef Rendezvous, which takes place at Kahekili Beach Park on Oct. 27, 2018, promises for all ages. Activities include a catch and release keiki and ‘ohana fishing tournament, a haunted reef tour, the Ridge to Reef hui tent where volunteer information, hands-on interactive displays, demonstrations and giveaways make it fun to learn how to care for Maui’s marine environment.

Lunch will be provided first-come, first-serve through the generous support of the The Westin Nanea Ocean Villas and CJ’s Deli & Diner Comfort Zone Restaurant.

Prizes have been donated by Captain Steve’s Rafting Adventures, Duke’s Beach House, Fleetwood’s on Front St., Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, Hula Grill Kaanapali, Mahina Boutique, Leoda’s Kitchen and Pie Shop, Star Noodle, The Plantation House, QuickSilver Charters, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, Sea House Restaurant, The Snorkel Store and Trilogy Excursions.

The event schedule is as follows:

8:00 a.m: Keiki fishing tournament mandatory check-in, rules, and overview
9:00 a.m: General event check-in and giveaways (free t-shirts while supplies last)
10:00 a.m: Guided snorkeling tour of the haunted reef
11:00 a.m: Prizes awarded for fishing tournament and scavenger hunt
12:00 p.m: Lunch provided by the Westin Nanea Ocean Villas and CJs Deli and Diner
