Maui Electric Work Requires Hansen Rd Closure on Nov. 1

Maui Electric will be doing upgrades to electrical equipment that will require a road closure to all traffic along Hansen Road between Hāna Highway and Pūlehu Road on Thursday, Nov. 1, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The work consists of upgrading three utility poles and restringing power lines in the area. Electrical service in this immediate area is not expected be impacted.

For safety reasons, both lanes will be closed to traffic while crews safely work as quickly as possible to complete the upgrades. Traffic control will be on site and should an emergency arise, emergency vehicles will continue to have access to the area. Motorists should expect traffic delays in the immediate area.
