The J. Walter Cameron Center is once again seeking volunteers to assist with managing the Lahaina Civic Center Public Parking Lot for the upcoming Sentry Tournament of Champions in Kapalua. The tournament runs from Wednesday Jan. 2 to Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.

The JWCC has been managing the tournament parking lot for several years as part of the tournament’s charity program. In exchange for the center’s volunteer service, the tournament makes a donation to the JWCC. The funds earned help to cover the costs of critical ongoing maintenance and facility upkeep, benefiting both the center and the 17 nonprofit agencies it serves.

Volunteers are needed to cover all five days. There are two shifts per day: the morning shift which begins at 6:30 a.m. and runs until noon and the afternoon shift which begins at 11:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Lunch and water will be provided to all volunteers.

Volunteers should wear light clothing and closed-toed shoes as appropriate for the typically sunny weather and rugged terrain. Slippers, sandals or wedges are not appropriate. Volunteers may also want to bring an umbrella, rain coat, sunscreen, and a hat.
