Da Maui Sleigh will host sleigh rides for keiki at the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center in Kahului on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Da Maui Sleigh 2018.

Da Maui Sleigh began as a father and son tradition over 16 years ago when James Presbitero saw a small sleigh pass by in his neighborhood and decided to recreate the vision on a larger scale. Created at his own expense and through unsolicited donations, Da Maui Sleigh is now an annual holiday tradition, visiting communities throughout Maui bringing joy and happiness to Maui’s keiki.

“We are so very excited to bring Da Maui Sleigh again to QKC this year and know the keiki will really enjoy the Grinch theme ride,” said Toni Rojas, Vice President of Business and Community Development. “James, Santa, and his team of elves truly exude the spirit of the holiday season. We can’t wait to witness all the joy and smiles.”

The event is made possible through Queen Ka’ahumanu Center’s QKC Cares initiative.

Due to the anticipated large crowd, QKC will offer keiki crafts and letters to Santa to keep the keiki busy while waiting for their turn. There are no reservations and space is limited.

General admission begins at 5:30 p.m. with the last ride scheduled at 8:20 p.m. at the north entry and concourse.
