Visitor Fatality in Haleakalā National Park

A visitor to Haleakalā National Park on Maui suffered a medical emergency and died on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.
Park officials say the 63-year-old woman was initially treated by Haleakalā National Park rangers, but emergency medical personnel responding to the scene took over treatment.
The incident was reported at around 11 a.m. near the Haleakalā Visitor Center.
No additional information is available at this time.
