Singer Blayne Asing to Perform at MACC, Jan. 12
Maui Arts & Cultural Center presents multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano winner, singer, musician and songwriter Blayne Asing in a solo concert at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
Asing was born and raised on the island of O‘ahu and is an entirely self-taught musician. When he first picked up the guitar in high school, he taught himself how to play by watching YouTube videos. He credits his ability to play with having a natural ear for learning.

His single, “Moloka‘i on My Mind” won the 2017 Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award for Single of the Year. Asing is also a lead vocalist and guitarist in Henry Kapono’s four-part harmony group, The Songs of C&K.
