Kraken Coffee will celebrate its grand opening in Kīhei on Saturday, Feb. 9 from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. with live music and free coffee for kama‘āina.

The truck has a drive-through on one side and walk-up window on the other, located in the new food truck zone east of Azeka Mauka shopping center on Pi‘ikea Avenue.

Kraken Coffee touts some unique features, like making its ice cubes out of coffee, and offering a standard four shots in every 20-ounce drink with an option to “get kraken” and add two more shots.

The grand opening party on Feb. 9 will feature free coffee drinks for all customers with Hawai‘I ID and 50% off for everyone else, along with merchandise and product giveaways until 2 p.m.

“We thought it is important to give back to our community and will be doing fundraisers and help local charities as well,” adds Marten.
