Looking Ahead
A developing low pressure system north of the islands will bring clouds and showers, and a slight chance of thunderstorms, to the islands today. A cold front will move down the island chain later today and tonight as the low moves away, with strengthening northerly winds expected after the front passes. Windy conditions will develop through Friday, with very windy conditions and unsettled weather expected over the weekend as the low strengthens and moves back toward the islands.
West Side
Today: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then scattered showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 81. Light and variable wind becoming southwest 5 to 8 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Tonight: Isolated showers. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. West southwest wind 6 to 14 mph becoming north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
