“Jazz at The Shops” Welcomes Kelly Covington
The Shops at Wailea welcomes jazz vocalist Kelly Covington to Jazz at The Shops, today, Wednesday, March 6.
The free live performance will take place at The Shops at Wailea’s upper level luxury retail wing from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
Covington’s powerful vocals and dynamic range have been heralded in the Maui music scene for over 30 years. With jazz at her roots and the ability to cross over into R&B, Soul, Pop, Rock and Hip-Hop, Covington has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Smokey Robinson, Kenny Loggins, Bon Jovi, Ramsey Lewis and more.
Jazz at The Shops is a complimentary music event that occurs on the first Wednesday of every month from 5:30 to 7 p.m.
In a continued effort to give back to the community, The Shops at Wailea supports a different Maui non-profit each month with 60% of the special event parking fees going to the selected charity.
The non-profit recipient for the month of March is the Maui Humane Society, the only open admission animal shelter on the island of Maui.
The Shops’ special events are designed to enrich the community through exploration and discovery in the arts and music, while supporting local businesses and non-profit partners. The four-hour special event parking voucher is available for $5 and can be purchased at the non-profit’s parking table.
