Girl Injured in Shore Break at DT Fleming

A 10-year-old girl suffered a possible spinal injury in a water accident at DT Fleming Beach in Kapalua on Thursday morning, April 25, 2019. The incident was reported at around 9:50 a.m.
Fire officials say the girl was reportedly bodyboarding and was thrown from a wave in one-to-two-foot shorebreak.
She was transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center in stable condition for further care.
Officials say the girl is believed to be a visitor from California.
