Queen Kaʻahumanu Center to Host Boysʻ Day Celebration

The Queen Ka`ahumanu Center will be celebrating Kodomo-no-hi, or Boys’ Day, on Saturday, May 4 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

During the event, Maui Minyo Kai will be presenting Japanese crafts, including koi nobori, or Japanese poles and flags, and origami. Both Maui Minyo Kai and the Maui Buyo Dance Academy will perform Japanese folk and classical dances. 

Captain Marvel and Captain America will also be at the event to greet keiki with balloons. Attendees will get the chance to win numerous door prizes as well as a $100 Sanrio Kaʻahumanu Gift Basket.  

“Boys’ Day is a one of our many favorite annual traditions at QKC”, Vice President of Business and Community Development Toni Rojas said. “Bring your entire family down for fun filled activities and a chance to win great prizes!”
