Maui’s median home price soared to $819,500, according to new data released by the Realtors Association of Maui. That’s up +13% from the month before when the median was listed at $725,000.
The RAM reports that the median price of a single family home year-to-date is $750,000, up +9% from the 2018 YTD figure, when the median was $688,013.
On Maui, there were 76 home sales in April, down more than -17% from March. The greatest number of homes that sold was in Wailuku where 17 units sold for a median price of $702,290, followed by Kīhei where 13 homes sold for a median price of $791,010.
In the condominium market, the median price was $440,000 in April, down -13.1% from the month before when the median was $506,113. Year to date, the median price for a condo is $516,000, up +5.2% from the $490,450 price reported at the same time last year, according to RAM data.
A total of 137 condos sold in Maui County in April, with nearly half (67 units) sold in Kīhei for a median price of $429,000.
