Maui gas prices, 6.13.2019.

Maui gas prices in Kahului and Wailuku averaged $3.83 a gallon. That’s unchanged since last Thursday, two cents higher than last month, and 20 cents lower than last year.

Gas prices held at their previous week’s levels or experienced slight price increases throughout the islands in the last week, according to the AAA Hawaiʻi Weekend Gas Watch.

Today’s statewide average price is $3.65 a gallon, which is one cent higher than last Thursday, two cents higher than a month ago and seven cents lower than a year ago, according to AAA.

“The Energy Information Administration’s weekly report showed that West Coast gasoline stocks increased by approximately 2.4 million barrels from the previous week and now sit at 30.8 million barrels. The current level is only 300,000 barrels less than last year’s level at this time, which could cause prices to decline if there are no supply challenges in the region this week,” said Liane Sumida, AAA Hawaiʻi general manager.
