OPEN: Maui Lani Traffic Accident Overnight

UPDATE: Two teens were transported to the Maui Memorial Medical Center in critical condition after the vehicle they were in collided with a tree in the center median of Maui Lani Parkway.  An update is now posted at the following direct LINK.

Update: 6:50 a.m. 6.20.19

Maui Lani Parkway is now OPEN as of 6:50 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2019.  It was closed overnight due to a motor vehicle accident.

The closure went into effect at around 2:30 a.m.

Maui police closed the road in both directions from the entrance to the Church of Latter-Day Saints to above the park entrance (between Amoa Street and Kuikahi Street in Wailuku/Kahului).

Motorists were advised to use an alternate route while police conducted an investigation.
