Kīhei High School Infrastructure Work Traffic Advisory

Goodfellow Bros. LLC will be performing construction on Piʻilani Highway from Kaonoulu Street to East Waipuilani Street as part of Phase I infrastructure work for the new Kīhei High School.

Work is being done in conjunction with the State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation, Maui Electric Company and Hawaiian Telcom.

Work includes installing electrical and traffic signal utilities as well as the reconstruction of asphalt pavement.

For the duration of work, the speed limit in the work area will be reduced to 30 mph.

Work will run from Aug. 5 to 19, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. with multiple lane shifts and closures on Piʻilani Highway.

During these work dates and times public travel will be contraflowed for northbound and southbound travel.

Traffic delays may occur during working hours.  Motorists are asked to plan ahead or take alternate routes. Motorist are also advised to follow all traffic control signs and personnel.
