No Arrests Made After Alleged Firework Attack in Kahului

Wailuku Patrol Officers received reports of an explosion on Wakea Avenue near Ano Street in Kahului on Tuesday morning.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers were notified that one male suspect allegedly ignited a firework and threw it in the direction of a male victim after the two were engaged in an argument.
The male victim felt threatened by the action and feared for his life, the Maui Police Department reports.
A Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree Investigation has been initiated. No arrests have been made at this time.
