Pacific Permanente Group recently added cardiologist Shalin Patel to its interventional cardiology service team.

Dr. Patel earned his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and completed an internship and residency at Emory University.

Dr. Patel also completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical Center.

“I’m excited to be back practicing cardiology on Maui and giving back to the community,” Dr. Patel said. “I’m also looking forward to expanding interventional services on the island so that patients can get more of the care they need, close to family without having to leave.”
