Lānaʻi Airport is getting an upgrade.

US Sen. Brian Schatz announced today that the airport will receive more than $11 million from the Federal Aviation Administration for “critical improvements.”

“These funds for the Lānaʻi Airport are an important investment for the island’s local economy,” Schatz said.

“These federal funds will make sure Lānaʻi has the resources it needs to make critical improvements, making it safer for families and visitors to travel to and from the island.”
