Water will be turned off in the lower Nāhiku area of Hāna on Thursday for a valve replacement at the Nāhiku Tank site.

The Department of Water Supply announced today that the work will begin at 8 a.m. and is projected to continue until 2 p.m. Department officials will distribute flyers announcing the outage to affected residents.

About 40 residential customers will be affected.

During this time, customers can expect low pressure to no water at all. The department suggests that affected customers set aside water to use during the outage.
