KS Maui Associate Athletic Director Receives National Recognition

Mahina Hannemann-Gago, associate athletic director at Kamehameha Schools Maui, is now a certified master athletic administrator under the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.

Hannemann-Gago earned the distinction for her contributions to the school and ongoing professional development in interscholastic athletic administration.

The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s educational background, experience, NIAAA leadership courses, and professional contributions.

Candidates must also complete a practical written or oral presentation project.

According to a press release from KS Maui, Hannemann-Gago joins a “very elite group” of interscholastic athletic administrators nationwide that have earned the certification.
