Watch: Meet Maui’s Newest Baby of the Year

Nahua Kahaiali’i of Lahaina was named the 2019 Maui Fair Baby of the Year earlier today.

Now in its second decade, the Baby of the Year contest featured dozens of adorable contestants, who were all judged on their apparel, personalities, and healthiness.

Kahaiali’i’s parents say he captivated the crowd with his charming dance moves.

Last year’s winner, Styles Kahiau Alexander of Kahului, attended today’s event to pass over the crown to Kahaiali’i.

Kahiali’i is heading to preschool soon and his parents are hoping he can get a spot at Pūnana Leo.
