The West Maui Job Fair takes place this Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Outlets of Maui, Oceanfront in Lahaina.

The Job FAir takes place at the ʻOhana Plaza (the one that houses Banana Republic, Gap and Carter’s Babies & Kids).

“We are hosting this job fair for people on the West Side who might be seeking employment, or a second job to make some extra money for the holidays,” said event organizer Charly Espinda-Takahama.

There are 27 businesses signed up and looking to hire, among them new businesses including the Honolulu based Waikiki Brewing Co., which will be opening soon at the Outlets; and the Four Seasons Resorts Lānaʻi which is renovating their Kōele Lodge to become a Wellness Center, featuring ziplines and more.

“We also have an assortment of the West Maui hotels and resorts seeking new hires and some of the retail outlets. Maui Police Department is continuously seeking new recruits and more emergency dispatchers,” said Espinda-Takahama.

“We’re very excited to partner with the Outlets of Maui for this community event which will make it much more convenient for job seekers on the West Side to find employment. On the other hand, many employers are looking for great people to hire as well, so it’s win-win for everyone,” she said.

Espina Takahama encourages job seekers to “dress to impress” as there will be some on-the-spot hiring.
