Grand Wailea to Usher in Holidays with Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony
The public is invited to Grand Wailea’s annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, taking place from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019 at the resort lobby and front lawn.
Those in attendance will witness a count down to the annual lighting of more than seven miles of white lights strung along the driveway to Grand Wailea and a live holiday tree reaching 25 feet tall. The tree lighting will occur at 6:30 p.m.
The resort anticipates a crowd of approximately 3,000 people.
Entertainment will be provided by Maui’s own award-winning group, Nā Wai ‘Ēha.
The resort’s newly launched Grand Wailea Foundation will also award initial gifts to Maui nonprofits and organizations as part of the festivities.
Attendees can also start their holiday shopping at Grand Wailea’s Pop-Up Shop, highlighting local vendors sharing Maui-made clothing, jewelry and art. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Grand Wailea Foundation, benefitting Maui charities.
