This Saturday, the family of 14-year-old La’akea Armitage, who has been fighting an aggressive form of knee cancer since July, will be hosting a hunting tournament fundraiser.
The event is one of the efforts organized by family members to help Armitage’s single mother cover the mounting cost of treatment.
The tournament entry fee costs $125, and hunting hours will run from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. tomorrow. All pigs must be ready for weigh in at the Kahului Judo Mission by 6 p.m.
A silent auction will also be held at the weigh in.
