Maui Crime Dec. 1-7: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 10 burglaries, 6 vehicle thefts and 8 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Dec. 1 to 7, 2019.

Burglaries were down 17 percent from the week before when 12 incidents were reported over the seven day period. Vehicle thefts remained the same from the week before; and vehicle break-ins were up 14 percent from the previous week, when 7 incidents were reported.

Below is a complete list of incidents and the time and locations of when and where each occurred.

10 Burglaries

Hāna: 

  • Wednesday, Dec. 4, 8:03 a.m. 100 Block of Waiʻānapanapa Road, Hāna. Residential, forced entry

Kāʻanapali: 

  • Friday, Dec. 6, 10:44 p.m. 104 Kāʻanapali Shores Pl., Kāʻanapali at Kāʻanapali Beach Club. Residential, unlawful entry.

Kahului: 

  • Wednesday, Dec. 4, 8:26 p.m. 275 Kaʻahumanu Ave., Kahului at Queen Kaʻahumanu Center. Non-residential, unlawful entry.
