Report: Maui Ranks No. 2 in Top Trending US Destinations

Maui ranked number two on a list of the Top 5 trending US destinations.

The report by HotelTonight, a last-minute hotel booking app, was part of the company’s 2019 travel trends report.

The results were based on the year-over-year increase in unique searches comparing January to September 2018 with January to September of 2019.

Raleigh, North Carolina came in first; Florida Keys ranked No. 3; Newport, Rhode Island was No. 4; and Nashville, Tennessee was No. 5.

The data reveals hotel booking trends from 65,000 hotels in approximately 2,000 cities across the world.

The report also included lists for: the Most Spontaneous Cities; Hotel Booking Behavior; Top Staycation Destinations; and Most Popular Neighborhoods.
