Maui Crime Dec. 22-28: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to four burglaries, 12 vehicle thefts and 11 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from Dec. 22 to 28, 2019.

Burglaries were down -56 percent from the week before when nine incidents were reported over a seven day period. Vehicle thefts remained the same from the week before when 12 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins were down -8 percent from the previous week, when 12 incidents were reported.

4 Burglaries

Kahului: 

• Tuesday, Dec. 24, 10:09 p.m.: 355 Hukilike St., Kahului at KAPP Electric. Non-residential, forced entry.

Kīhei: 

• Thursday, Dec. 26, 11:33 a.m.: 115 E Lipoa St., Kīhei at Kīhei Maui Self Storage. Non-residential, forced entry.
• Thursday, Dec. 26, 12:33 p.m.: 115 E Lipoa St., Kīhei at Kīhei Maui Self Storage. Non-residential, attempted burglary.
• Saturday, Dec. 28, 7:24 p.m.: 300 Block of Hale Kai St., Kīhei. Residential, unlawful entry.
