The Outlets of Maui, a 150,000 square foot oceanfront shopping center on Front Street, announced today the appointment of Kym Espinosa as its Marketing Director.

As the center pursues “exciting changes,” Espinosa will head center-wide marketing programming  and promotions, including visitor and hospitality marketing, advertising, digital/interactive strategies, social communications, public relations, visitor industry programs and special events.

“Kym brings Outlets of Maui more than 25 years of experience marked by an impressive track record as a strategic and results-oriented marketing professional.  Her achievements at the retail real estate properties she has served demonstrates an uncompromising standard for guest satisfaction,” General Manager Brian K. Yano said in a press release.

Most recently serving as Director of Marketing at Promenade Temecula (Temecula, Ca.), Espinosa’s eight-year tenure included developing new tourism programming; introducing the onset of new data-gathering and technology platforms; and supporting leasing efforts in areas of expansion, development and re-merchandising.

An eight-time International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC) MAXI award winner, Espinosa’s earlier career experience included positions with increasing responsibilities at Time Warner Media, Puente Hills Mall (Los Angeles), Eastridge Mall (San Jose, Ca.) and Ervin Advertising and Design.

Hailing from Costa Mesa, Ca., Espinosa earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Brigham Young University.
