Power Outage at Lāna‘i’s Maunalei and Munro Trail

Hawaiian Electric Crews responded to a power outage overnight on the island of Lānaʻi.
The initial outage, reported at around 1 a.m., affected the Olopua Woods, Lānaʻi Residence Phase 1, Iwiola Homes, Kanepuʻu, Kōele Lodge and Maunalei areas.
As of 1:40 a.m., crews had restored power to the majority of customers; however a remaining four customers will remain without power in the Maunalei and Munro Trail areas until Hawaiian Electric resumes inspection during daylight hours.
The cause of the outage was not immediately available.
