The National Weather Service has continued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Haleakalā Summit, in effect until 6 p.m. Sunday.
Officials say the summit could see freezing rain and snow, additional snow accumulations of up to 3 inches, and winds gusting as high as 50 mph.
Travel could be very difficult, leading to road closures.
Roads to the summits will likely be impacted with ice and patchy snow.
The NWS is recommending the public to postpone travel plans to the summits until weather conditions improve.
