ProArts Playhouse will be closing for performances after this weekend based on recommendations from Gov. Ige and the Hawaiʻi Department of Health in response to the COVID-19.

The upcoming performances of The Princess & The Tease, which were set for April 3 and 4, will be postponed. A new date has not yet been scheduled.

ProArts representatives will be contacting ticket holders within the next week to determine crediting tickets for an eventual performance, or issuing a refund.

“If you do choose to get a refund we kindly ask that you consider donating your refund or a portion of it back to ProArts as they will be profoundly impacted by this, much more than we will,” a press release read.

“Cabaret & Cocktails will survive, but without ProArts Maui Burlesque loses its home base. We will be looking into other ways to keep burlesque going in these times of social distancing, so please stay tuned to our Facebook and Instagram pages (links below) for entertainment opportunities.”
