Maui Crime April 26 to May 2: Burglaries, Break-ins, Thefts

Maui police responded to 8 burglaries, 4 vehicle thefts and 5 vehicle break-ins in Maui County over a seven day period from April 26 to May 2, 2020.
Burglaries decreased 33 percent from the week before, when 12 incidents were reported. Vehicle thefts dropped 20 percent from the week before when 5 incidents were reported; and vehicle break-ins remained the same from the previous week.

8 Burglaries
Kāʻanapali:
- Tuesday, April 28, 9:51 a.m.: 30 Hālāwai Dr., Kāʻanapali at Enterprise Rent-a-Car. Building in civil defense emergency/disaster period.
Kīhei:
- Sunday, April 26, 9:29 a.m.: 575 S Kīhei Rd., Kīhei at Maui Lu Resort. Non-residential, forced entry.
- Friday, May 1, 8:23 a.m.: 34 Wailana Pl., Kīhei at Wailana Kai. Residential, unlawful entry.
- Friday, May 1, 4:11 p.m.: 551 S Kīhei Rd., Kīhei at Kohea Kai Resort. Non-residential, forced entry.

Makawao:
