Reservation System Established for Select Maui County Swimming Pools

The Department of Parks and Recreation announced that the public can begin making reservations for Maui County pool use beginning 8 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020.
Reservations must be made by calling (808) 270-6116.
Open pools will be for 45-minute lap swimming and constant lane walking in the Kihei training pool.
Open pools
- Kihei Aquatic Center
- Lahaina Aquatic Center
- Coach Soichi Sakamoto Pool
- Upcountry Pool
- Cooke Memorial Pool in Kaunakakai
Closed pools
- Coach Spencer Shiraishi Memorial Pool
- Wailuku Pool at Wells Park
- Kokua Pool (closed for renovation)

Reservations
- Must be made by calling (808) 270-6116
- Phone message will prompt callers to the pool they would like a reservation for
- Callers will only be able to make a reservation at the specific pool they are calling and will not be allowed to make a reservation for another pool
- Reservations cannot be made earlier than 48 hours in advance
- Reservations will only be taken from 8 a.m. to noon, daily, excluding holidays
- Reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis
- One reservation, per person, per day
- NO same day reservations or walk-ups will be allowed

Pool rules
- Face coverings will be required when swimmers are not in the pool
- Pool users should arrive 10 minutes before their reservation time
- Pool users need to be dressed for swimming; locker and changing rooms will remain closed
- Pool users should have ID or student ID to show pool staff members
- Social distancing will be required at pool facilities
- Pool users are required to follow all directions from staff
- No congregating will be allowed before, during or after swimming
- Swimmers must take a soap shower before entering the pool using outdoor showers Swimmers must use their own equipment
- Only one swimmer per lane, except for swimmers with ADA therapeutic aides
- After finishing, swimmers must immediately leave the pool facility to allow staff to prepare the facility for the next group of swimmers
- Re-entry to the facility will not be allowed
- Failure to comply with rules or staff instructions could result in forfeiture of future reservations
