Hawaiian Electric will be using a helicopter for routine aerial power line inspections on Friday, Dec. 4, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the Upcountry and Central Maui area, weather permitting.
Routine aerial inspections of Hawaiian Electric’s equipment, including electrical lines, poles and substations, are necessary to maintain stable and reliable electrical service for the Maui County community, according to company representatives.
