Swell Summary
Coastal buoy swell observations have begun the expected slow decline in northwest swell today, which will continue through the weekend. The next northwest swell is forecast to be timed to begin building in sometime during the middle of next week. If the models are correct with this swell size and period, then there is a high likelihood of High Surf Warnings being issued for the smaller island north and west- facing shorelines.
A trade-generated northeast swell will advance into the local waters as early as tonight and Saturday. This northeast swell may boost eastern shore surf to near high surf advisory levels Saturday night and Sunday before declining Sunday night and Monday.
No significant south swells are expected through the middle of next week.
