Update 11:55 a.m.: Fire Crews Have Kula Brush Fire ‘Knocked Down’
Fire crews continue to battle a brush fire that has burned about 7 acres near Kula Agriculture Park and Pūlehu Road.
Crews have the fire knocked down and are further securing the perimeter. Air 1 is providing water drops, according to the Maui Fire Department.
The fire alarm sounded at 9:48 a.m., with seven ground crews and the air support responding.

At 10:33 a.m. Sunday, Pūlehu Road (370) near Holopuni Road was closed due to a brush fire in Kula.
