The County of Maui Service Center will close in phases at the Maui Mall on Jan. 14-15, 2021, with employees relocating to the new center at 110 ‘Ala‘ihi St., at the corner of Hookele and ‘Ala‘ihi streets in Kahului.

  • Jan. 14: The last day for public service for the Department of Finance Real Property Assessment and Treasury divisions at the Maui Mall.
  • Jan. 15: The final day for Division of Motor Vehicles & Licensing (DMVL) at the Maui Mall.

The Real Property Assessment and Treasury divisions are scheduled to reopen on Jan. 19 at the new facility. Treasury will accept over-the-counter payments for the first time for water and solid waste services and will continue to accept payments for real property taxes.

The Treasury Division will begin accepting over-the-counter credit and debit card payments. However, a convenience fee will apply for real property tax payments. The fee is 2.35% for credit card payments and a flat rate of $3.95 for debit card payments.

The DMVL will open for customer service at the new facility on Jan. 25. More time is required for the move due to extensive equipment and information technology relocation and testing work.

Office hours for all will remain 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday, except on holidays.

“I thank members of the public for their understanding and patience while the Service Center relocation is ongoing,” Mayor Michael Victorino said. “This will provide better, more convenient and accessible service for our residents.”
